Puzzle Notes

“Find your happy place . . . and go there often” -refrigerator magnet

Greetings Friends,

Today we celebrate happy places, for they keep us fueled to handle life’s challenges. There are things we can agree on that cause happiness – good health for all, equality, the well-being of our children, world peace, economic security. But then there are the everyday happinesses that are subjective and specific to each one of us.

For me, a happy place is … being in total harmony with mind and body. And if this occurs during a tennis match -- bingo! It's magic when your half-volley angles off the racket and drops into the opponent’s court. (It hit the line!) Another happy place involves Beethoven string quartets -- specifically, the out-of-body experience one feels during Hour Three of a chamber music session with friends.

I wish you all good things, as you enjoy your happy places in the days ahead.

Welcome to Week 581 of Crossword Nation. We mirthfully invite you to solve “Blissful Thinking” as your crossword of the week.

And a friendly request – if you enjoy our puzzles, please give them a positive rating on Amy Reynaldo’s blog (see instructions below). Your ratings are important in keeping Crossword Nation, a woman-owned business, strong and independent! Thank you!

Thank you for solving, subscribing and re-upping. Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
