Anagrammatically Yours for $1

Puzzle Notes

Dear Subscribers,

Location-wise, today's puzzle will take you from an attic, to the deep South, to the Sea of Galilee, and to a Broadway theatre. During your cruciverbal journey you'll encounter schnoodles, a Phillies shortstop and a layer cake. It's the usual logical assortment of crossword subjects.

Today's puzzle theme came about after a YouTube binge-listening session of Eubie Blake's music. The story of 57-Across is quite interesting and worth Googling after you finish the puzzle! My chief worry during this round was -- spelling "anagrammatically" correctly.

Welcome to Week 612 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "Anagrammatically Yours" as your diversion of the week. Have a great solve and enjoy the week ahead!

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
