Puzzle Notes
Greetings Subscribers,
I live next to a university and around this time of year we notice the arrival of new and returning students. The coffee shops are more crowded and stationery store windows are crammed with collegiate stuff -- backpacks, totes, notebooks, water bottles, reusable coffee cups, sweatshirts and hoodies. The college dorms and off-campus residences (in NYC, "off-campus" means that you live across the street from campus) are showing signs of activity. This probably inspired 61-A and a riff on the puzzle theme. I like living in an area with a vibrant student life. It's the university experience without the pressure of midterms and finals. (And I can openly read trashy novels with no worries.)
We hope you're enjoying high summer. Welcome to Week 638 of Crossword Nation. Submitted for your approval, we invite you to solve "You Can Say That Again!" as your cruciverbal conundrum of the week.
If you enjoy this puzzle, please give it a good rating on Amy Reynaldo's blog, "Diary of a Crossword Fiend" (see below for details). We appreciate your positive ratings which help keep our woman-owned business strong and independent. Thank you!
Until next time, I remain . . .
Cruciverbally yours and with respect,
Liz
