Puzzle Notes
Greetings Crossword Nation Friends,
As many of you are probably prepping for the extended July 4th holiday and weekend, I wish you safe travels and happy trails. I plan to stay in town this week, as the Macy's Fireworks will take place on the Hudson River this year, and visible from our roof garden. It'll be a low-key, fun celebration. I've always liked Independence Day, because it means something different to everyone. To my immigrant parents, it meant the freedom to vote, send their kids to college and own a small house.
To me, independence is -- owning a home and business, and having the freedom to reach customers directly, without large media middlemen. I'm grateful to live during an era when technology enables us to directly connect with you, our customers. Crossword Nation turned 13 years old this year. Thank you for solving our puzzles, spreading the word and being such friends from across the miles.
We're keeping things light this week. To quote an anonymous punster:
How do you measure the quality of crossword puns?
You use a sighsmograph.
One shouldn't be surprised that said punster chooses to remain anonymous.
Welcome to Week 683 of Crossword Nation. We warmly invite you to solve "Are Too!" as your diversion of the week. Happy Fourth of July!
Thank you for subscribing to our little shop of puzzles. If you enjoy this crossword, please give it a good rating on Amy Reynaldo's site. Your positive ratings help us stay strong and independent!
Cruciverbally yours and with respect,
Liz
