Cover Letters?

Puzzle Notes

Dear Citizens of Crossword Nation,

Last week's puzzle was inspired by dreams of Greece. This week's theme is anything but dreamy. It's real-world stuff woven into a puzzle theme in a slightly kooky, visual way. (Don't we solve puzzles because of their occasional kookiness?) For the record: a 59-Down seen on TV, social media, buses and subways is the inspiration for this theme. New-normal stuff with a cruciverbal twist.

Welcome to Week 498 of Crossword Nation. We humbly invite you to solve "Cover Letters?" as your crossword of the week.

Thank you for joining us and be well, Dear Ones. Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
