Puzzle Notes

Dear Crossword Nation Subscribers,

This week's exercise celebrates a venerated trio that has upheld the construction of crossword puzzles since the earliest days of the Crossword Industrial Complex. Whether you're a solver or a puzzle creator, you have relied on one (or all) of them from time to time.

As you work through the puzzle, you'll find four 15-letter answers, some circles and a musical revealer by Sugarland.  Until relatively recently, I didn't know that Sugarland was a musical duo -- and not a larger group suggested by its sweeping, delicious-sounding name. I'm grateful for their contribution to the puzzle!

Welcome to Week 506 of Crossword Nation.  We cordially invite you to solve "Isn't It Romantic?" as your pre-Valentine's Day offering of the week!

Be well and happy, Dear Ones. Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
