Edgy Vacation Venues

Puzzle Notes

Dear Subscribers,

Greetings to you all! Because this week culminates in a national holiday – July 4th – we created a puzzle that's a bit more difficult than our usual fare. We hope that the extra leisure time can be put towards a trickier puzzle. As you uncover the theme, you’ll see why the difficulty level was ramped up a bit.

Following on the relaxation of COVID restrictions, it’s estimated that this year’s July 4th holiday will result in the second-highest travel volume on record. People are declaring their independence from COVID and leaving the nest via car, boat, bus, plane, bike and train.

The travel bug has bitten the crossword, as well! To solve this week’s puzzle, you’ll be called to faraway places, so -- grab a mai tai, sunscreen, extra brain bandwidth and some frequent flyer miles!

Welcome to Week 526. We invite you to solve “Edgy Vacation Venues” as your diversion of the week.

Have a happy and relaxing holiday week. Until next time, I remain,

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
