Puzzle Notes

Greetings Friends,

"To travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries" ~Aldous Huxley

Good Monday evening to you all! Whenever the Olympics takes place, I find myself riveted to the television and sleep-deprived for a fortnight. I've never put on a pair of skis, but the Super G makes me yearn for a ski vacay in Switzerland or Norway. I've never been snowboarding, but I ache to go to Utah (site of "The Greatest Snow on Earth," per the state's license plates) and hit the bunny-slopes for tyro snowboarders.

Simply put, the Olympics make me want to travel. I'd love to re-visit the cliffside eateries of the Amalfi Coast or the hammams of Istanbul. Oh, to discover Nepal, Finland and Morocco for the first time! -- three "bucket list" countries that, in my mind's eye, would change one forever.

Perhaps it's not surprising that this week's puzzle draws inspiration from movement. Solvers will call upon their street-smart skills to traverse the grid.

Welcome to Week 558 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "Street-Smart Challenge" as your cruciverbal offering of the week. During your travels, remember to stay hydrated and wear a hat in the sun. Thank you for subscribing and for re-upping! Until next time . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
