Where Are My Keys?

Puzzle Notes

Greetings Friends,

It's been said that our attraction to crosswords is rooted in the expectation that the quandary we've chosen comes with one, concrete solution. Perhaps that's why we saw a "Puzzle Pandemic Craze" erupt during the past two years. Puzzles present problems that have clear-cut, achievable solutions -- and a hard break from doomscrolling the news of the day.

When our daily lives are out of whack, if a family member is in the hospital, or when the news from across the miles is horrific -- a 30-minute diversion (be it a puzzle, knitting, sports, reading a book) may be the self-care we need to recharge, take a breath and fight another day. These are stressful times, and self-care is so very important in staying strong, alert and healthy.

I solve only one crossword per day, but I look forward to my morning challenge. It revs up my cortex in preparation for the day's work: a "green smoothie" (with an infusion of fresh ginger) for the brain. I suspect that you solve crosswords for very personal and proprietary reasons. That's what makes this medium so rewarding -- you can customize the solving experience according to your own preferences.

Welcome to Week 562 of Crossword Nation. We present "Where Are My Keys?" as your diversion of the week.

Please stay safe and be well, dear Friends.

Thank you for subscribing and for re-upping! Until next time . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz

  2. Visit the Subscriber Portal and Re-send the Puzzle To Your Mailbox. You can always send the latest puzzle (or any puzzle from our archive) to yourself. Visit here:

Choose the "Resend Puzzle" link at the bottom right of the page. From there, you can choose which puzzle to send to your mailbox!
