I hope that you had a relaxing 4th of July weekend and extended holiday. Many thanks your birthday wishes. It’s nice to have a birthday that’s close enough to July 4th so that I can claim the fireworks as my own!
This week’s puzzle was inspired by a relatively-recent film that chronicled key events – often dangerous, given the climate of the times -- of the voting rights movement. It’s an important film that, I hope, is shown in every American classroom. Though not specifically referenced in the puzzle, the film’s title is at the center of the action.
