Puzzle Notes

Greetings Subscribers,

Go, man, go,
But not like a yoyo schoolboy.
Just play it cool, boy,
Real cool.
~from "Cool" (West Side Story, Broadway version)

Last week I enjoyed hearing from subscribers who looked into the "Life Interrupted" column/video series. Thank you for drilling down past the puzzle clues and answers. It's nice to celebrate authors via these puzzle grids.

I'll keep today's preamble short because I just returned from a trip downtown via subway. The heat and humidity is horrendous today, a build-up of three weeks of infernal temps. To my co-straphangers who commute to work in business clothes (suits, ties, dress shirts, heels), I saw you today, trying to stay cool, and I salute you. Crossword constructors have it easy; there's no dress code and apparel is merely "recommended."

I'm feeling a bit heat-queasy, so I'll conserve energy, make a ginger root tea and take it easy.

Welcome to Week 584 of Crossword Nation. We breezily invite you to solve "Made to Order" as your puzzle of the week.

Have a good week and stay cool.

Thank you for solving, subscribing and re-upping. Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
