As Good As It Gets!

Puzzle Notes

Greetings Subscribers,

You make me want to be a better man” ~Melvin Udall in As Good as It Gets

If ever there was a showstopping line in cinema, this is it. In the 1997 film As Good as It Gets, when Melvin Udall (played by Jack Nicholson) tells Carol Connelly (portrayed by Helen Hunt) that she makes him “want to be a better man,” Carol’s reaction is priceless. That had to be the Mother of all Compliments, and not easy for Melvin to express. He's a bigoted misanthrope with OCD who’s trying to be a better person in order to keep Carol and her family in his life. Hunt and Nicholson are brilliant in this film that explores how broken lives can heal through acceptance and change.

After watching it again a few weeks ago, a puzzle theme idea popped up!
