Compliments of the House!

Puzzle Notes

Dear Subscribers,

I hope that all of you are well and enjoying the simple pleasures of the holiday season. For me, a simple pleasure is: twinkling lights. I love taking sunset walks in December. At dusk, the holiday light displays are magical.

On the puzzle front: A lovely thing happened this year. The editors at Games magazine asked me to contribute some puzzles. The first one appears in the latest issue -- the Games World of Puzzles: Holiday 2023 issue -- on sale now. If you're a Games reader, you may have solved some of my earlier puzzles which were published under my given name -- Elzbieta Górska. I later switched to an Americanized byline because it's easier to manage. But it was nice to have a few puzzles run under the slavic handle!

Today's puzzle involves a basic human activity -- looking for a place to hang one's hat. Welcome to Week 602 of Crossword Nation. We invite you to solve "Compliments of the House!" as your cruciverbal diversion this week.

Be well and thank you for supporting our little puzzle shop.

Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz

Recovering Lost Puzzles: If, for some reason, our weekly puzzle email doesn't appear in your mailbox on Monday evenings, no worries -- you can always "re-send" the puzzle to yourself.

But first ....

  1. Please check the Spam folder. Sometimes the Crossword Nation emails are redirected to Spam folders. This can happen after a software or system update. If it's not in the Spam folder, then try Step 2.
  2. Visit the Subscriber Portal and Re-send the Puzzle To Your Mailbox. You can always send the latest puzzle (or any puzzle from our archive) to yourself. Visit here:

Choose the "Resend Puzzle" link at the bottom right of the page. From there, you can choose which puzzle to send to your mailbox!
