"The Mixed-Up Quintet"
Puzzle Notes
Dear Subscribers,
"Mixing one's wines may be a mistake, but old and new wisdom mix admirably" ~Bertolt Brecht
Greetings to you all. I hope that this final Monday of January finds you well.
The opening quote from Brecht sums up my impression of what a crossword puzzle should be -- a mix of old and new wisdom.
In the world of quintets, there's: The Miles Davis Quintet, Schubert's "Trout" Quintet, Robert Altman's 1979 sci-fi film, "Quintet" and the Honda Quintet.
This week we mix things up via another quintet -- the themers in today's puzzle.
Welcome to Week 609 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "The Mixed-Up Quintet" as your new diversion.
Thank you for solving and have a great week!
Until next time, I remain . . .
Cruciverbally yours,
Liz
