The Common Touch

Puzzle Notes

Dear Subscribers,

Happy March to you all. I hope that all is well and that you're enjoying the march towards Spring.

Sometimes a book affects one so deeply that it stays with you for years on end. I yearn for the opportunity to showcase good books in crosswords. But a casual "mention" in a clue is sometimes not enough. (Crossword solvers are avid readers who breeze through the literary cluing angles!) This remarkable book (which is one of the themers) inspired today's puzzle. The title provided a fresh way of riffing on a traditional thematic approach. With this type of theme, you can chip away at any part of the grid and unlock the connective element.

Many of you, I'm sure, have read the novel that's featured herein. It has won numerous awards and accolades, and deservedly so. I hope you'll enjoy the solve.

Welcome to Week 614 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "The Common Touch" as your featured crossword. Be well and thank you for visiting our humble puzzle shop. We are grateful for your support!

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz
