Puzzle Notes

"In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike."~Paulo Coelho

Dear Subscribers,

Greetings and welcome to Crossword Nation! Today's puzzle has a thematic approach that's similar to puzzles I used to make for The New York Times. It's been a long time since I've made this type of puzzle, which can be a bit of a challenge. I'd almost forgotten how much fun it is to research and build this crossword variety. When the themers are long, as they are herein, we've provided accessible crossings to assist in the solving journey.

A timely inspiration is found at 42-Across, but really -- this could have been published on any day of the year.

Welcome to Week 619 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "Throwing Shade on Things" as your diversion of the week. Have a great solve!

Be well and thank you for supporting our little puzzle shop. Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours,

Liz

Recovering Lost Puzzles: If, for some reason, our weekly puzzle email doesn't appear in your mailbox on Monday evenings, no worries -- you can always "re-send" the puzzle to yourself.

But first ....

  1. Please check the Spam folder. Sometimes the Crossword Nation emails are redirected to Spam folders. This can happen after a software or system update. If it's not in the Spam folder, then try Step 2.
  2. Visit the Subscriber Portal and Re-send the Puzzle To Your Mailbox. You can always send the latest puzzle (or any puzzle from our archive) to yourself. Visit here:

Choose the "Resend Puzzle" link at the bottom right of the page. From there, you can choose which puzzle to send to your mailbox!
