Puzzle Notes

"Have you ever tried eating a clock? It's very time-consuming." ~Anonymous

Dear Friends,

Today's puzzle was created to satisfy those who hunger for crosswords. As you uncover each answer, the gimmick will reveal itself and all will be clear. To cook up this type of theme, we relied on every cruciverbal utensil we could scrounge up, here at the Crossword Industrial Complex test kitchen.

Some words may be a bit chewier than the standard early-in-the-week fare, but our testers report that fair crossings will help avoid any digestive issues!

Welcome to Week 646 of Crossword Nation. We invite you to partake in "Square Meal" as your conundrum of the week. Happy Solving and thank you for subscribing to our weekly puzzle.

Until next time, I remain . . .

Cruciverbally yours and with respect,

Liz
