Area 51
Puzzle Notes
Dear Friends,
Over the years, Nevada's "Area 51" has been linked to UFOs, extraterrestrial life, testing of recovered alien spacecraft and the place where (according to some conspiracy theorists) the Apollo 11 lunar landing was filmed and staged. This highly-classified U.S. Air Force facility and training center has inspired websites replete with spacy jokes like:
Why did the astronaut couple refuse to have their wedding on the Moon?
Because it would have no atmosphere.
Though Area 51 did inspire today's puzzle angle, our cruciverbal rocket engines will zoom past the galaxy of conspiracy theories. We're here to have some down-to-earth fun.
Welcome to Week 650 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "Area 51" as your cosmic challenge of the week. Enjoy the solve and have a great day!
Cruciverbally yours and with respect,
Liz
