Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends,

Greetings to all! Though today's theme isn't seasonal, and could run at any time of the year, the puzzle's roots were inspired by a seasonal event -- the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This year's tree -- a gorgeous 80-foot Norway Spruce -- hails from Vestal, New York. The variations of its beautiful green color got me thinking ...

Welcome to Week 653 of Crossword Nation. We verdantly invite you to solve "Greenbacks!" as your puzzle of the week. It's a bit more difficult than the usual fare, but our testers found it solvable and within the "Tuesday" realm.

Cruciverbally yours and with respect,

Liz
