Falling Leaves

Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends,

Though there's a chill in the air today, the trees in Riverside Park are still very much in "autumn" mode. On a windy day in December, one still sees leaves of green, gold, red and yellow pendulum-ing to and fro through the air, slowing making their way to the ground -- or landing in one's hair! I'm ever inspired by the December days during which Autumn gently passes the baton to Winter.

Welcome to Week 654 of Crossword Nation. We cordially invite you to solve "Falling Leaves" as your diversion of the week. (21-Down is the most challenging entry of the puzzle, but we hope that the Across-ers will help build that area of the grid.) Happy Solving and enjoy the Season!

Cruciverbally yours and with respect,

Liz
