"Life's a Beach!"
Puzzle Notes
Dear Friends,
On Friday, a good number of eastern states felt the 4.8 magnitude earthquake recorded in New Jersey -- and we sure felt the rumbling here. I have been told that, at the Landmark Tavern at 46th Street and 11th Avenue, bottles of vodka and gin shook, rattled and nearly rolled off of their perches behind the bar. (Update: No Grey Goose or Bombay Sapphire was spilled during the quake). Whenever there's an earthquake in these parts, many New Yorkers assume that it's a big truck barreling down Broadway. I have to remind myself that Mother Nature rules!
Today's puzzle is an easy-breezy walk in the park, perhaps because it will be eclipsed by today's solar eclipse. (I'm writing this on Monday morning, before the excitement.) Mother Nature steals the show again. We think you'll coast through today's crossword with no problems at all.
