Thanksgiving with the Bard!
Puzzle Notes
Greetings Crossword Nation Friends,
At Crossword Nation, we have a tradition of presenting spicy puzzles during holiday periods. Solvers have written to me over the years, asking for slightly-harder puzzles that will hold them over during the holidays. We are happy to oblige.
Today's holiday-themed crossword serves up a bit of chewiness that we hope will rev you up for this week's enjoyment of turkey, corn stuffing, and sweet potato pie.
Here's a solving tip: to suss out the two or three difficult words (they're short, but they hold the puzzle together -- you'll see), try solving as many "Across" clues as possible. This will help build the more difficult words that relate to pituitary hormones and the Quebec-Labrador peninsula.
Because there are six themed entries (two of which are 15s) -- I had to dabble with the "Saturday" word palette to create two or three crossings.
Gobble, gobble! Welcome to Week 704 of Crossword Nation. Please enjoy "Thanksgiving with the Bard!" as your featured puzzle of the week. I'm so thankful to you, our Dear Subscribers, who've helped us stay strong for 13 years. We look forward to many more years of cruciverbal fun!
To you and yours, we wish you a Peaceful and Abundant Thanksgiving.
Cruciverbally yours and with respect,
Liz
P.S. We hope that you're enjoying the Crossword Nation puzzles, and that you'll give them a good rating on Amy Reynaldo's site. Your positive ratings help us stay strong and independent!
