To Coin a Phrase ...
Puzzle Notes
"Humor is the ability to see three sides to one coin" ~Ned Rorem
Dear Crossword Nation Friends,
When I'm feeling stressed and tempted to snap at innocent bystanders, I think of Ned Rorem's quote and laugh. Technically, there are three sides to a coin: heads, tails, and the edge. The edge is that barely-noticeable place of grace, where being right or wrong doesn't matter all that much. So what if that guy cut in front of me in the drugstore line? Let him. And to that woman who grabbed what was supposed to be my seat on the subway -- no problem, enjoy the ride. (Standing is healthier, anyway.) The edge is a cool place where folks don't sweat the small stuff because, really: isn't most of it just small stuff?
Welcome to Week 707 of Crossword Nation. Please enjoy "To Coin a Phrase ..." as your diversion of the week. Stay warm and happy solving!
Cruciverbally yours and with respect,
Liz
